A message from Jane & Bill:
After much soul searching and number crunching, Bill & I have come to the sad realization that we can’t keep producing our beloved comic: Lady Robotika, the way we are currently operating.
Despite rave reviews, orders have been low, and that’s driven our costs up to DOUBLE what the books actually retail for!
Holy negative cashflow, it’s a rough Universe out there for a new superhero!
We have decided to jump space-ship and come up with a new plan for galactic domination. We LOVE making Lady Robotika, and we are committed to continuing her story. One way or another, Lady Robotika‘s saga MUST be told!
Stay tuned for news regarding our new plan of action. Expect new LR comics and a CD of Lady Robotika MUSIC in the near future.
Many thanks to all of you who have rallied around our creation! We REALLY hope you will stick with us during this transitional time!

Have you thought about publishing through the Apple App store for reading on the iPad and iPhone? No more printing and shipping costs. Many comics are moving in that direction.

I have total faith in you both that LR will incarnate & transmute in a more advanced form. This project is too good.

Aw! I’m so sad! I had a subscription all set up at tfaw.com, and just got notice that my subscription was cancelled. Well, I LOVE LR #1, so sign me up if you guys start production again! Oh, and I <3 you, Jane! You're awesome! xo!
I second the iPad/iPod/iTunes version of LR. Or go to a web comic and sell limited edition prints? That way, you can take orders and print after the fact, keeping costs down. Or a LR flash cartoon? Or black & white? Maybe you could have someone make you guys a cool Lady Robotika iPhone/Android app that would update with new comics? There could even be an integrated Lady Robotika game!
Just got Lady Robotika #2 in the mail. Very enjoyable read! It is, what comic books should be. I love the detail in the drawings. I enjoyed all the pop-culture references in the background. Reminds me of a certain animated TV show (Futurella). I am sure I am only one of many that hope you are able to find a way to continue the saga. iBook? Web-series with ads?
I just received the notice from TFAW noting that my pre-order for Lady Robotika #3 was been cancelled. Very sad – a good book indeed. +1 for the comments on digital publishing, especially if you already have the story and boards complete. Or perhaps a limited run of digital printed collector sets.
